I-SHARPS International Forum on the Health and Human Rights of Semiconductor Workers

October 15, 2026

The semiconductor industry is growing rapidly as a key industry in the era of AI and digital transformation. Governments around the world are promoting semiconductors as strategic national industries and expanding large-scale investments, while global companies are extending their production facilities and supply chains across the world.

However, behind this growth lie various human rights issues, including threats to workers’ health and lives, environmental impacts on local communities, violations of labor rights across supply chains, and inadequate chemical management.

Activists, experts, and affected individuals from South Korea, the United States, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and the Philippines will gather for the I-SHARPS International Forum on the Health and Human Rights of Semiconductor Workers.

Join us as we work to build a foundation for international solidarity! Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
